Day 1
Delhi
When you arrive at the international airport in Delhi, you will be picked up by me personally or by one of my employees from WAY OF INDIA and taken to the hotel of your choice. The rest of the day is dedicated to relaxation and rest.
Day 2
Delhi - Jodhpur
After breakfast departure to Jodhpur. Arrive Jodhpur, check in and rest at selected hotel. Start of the city tour. You will visit the Jaswant Thada, the royal tombs in the Umaid public gardens and visit the magnificent palace with the historical museum. In the evening you can go shopping at the municipal market. Then return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 3
Jodhpur
After breakfast visit to Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India. Here you will find fabulously beautiful palaces and an exhibition of royal weapons. A stop will also be made at the desert oasis of Osiyan with beautiful Hindu and Jain temples.
In the afternoon departure to Udaipur. On the way, stop at Ranakpur Temple, one of the largest Jain temple complexes in India. The most famous temples are the Chaumukha, the Neminath and the Parashnath Temple. Arrive in Udaipur, check in and overnight at your chosen hotel.
Day 4
Udaipur
Udaipur. Arrive Udaipur, check in hotel and rest. Visit of the city of Udaipur: the City Palace, a grand palace with beautiful architecture, the Jagdish Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the Art and Folklore Museum with a colorful puppet exhibition, musical instruments and paintings.
Then return to the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 5
Udaipur - Pushkar
After breakfast you can continue sightseeing or take a boat trip at Lake Pichola and admire the fabulously beautiful palaces on the shore: the Jag Mandir and the Jag Niwas, now known as the Taj Lake Palace. You will feel like royalty.
Then departure to the pilgrimage city of Pushkar. Arrive in Pushkar in the afternoon, check in at your chosen hotel and overnight.
Day 6
Pushkar - Ranthambore
After breakfast visit of the city, the beautiful lake and its temples, especially the Brahma Temple, the only Brahma temple in India. The Pushkar Lake is considered a holy lake by the Hindus and believers come here en masse on religious holidays.
After sightseeing, depart for Ranthambore National Park. Arrive in the afternoon and check in at your chosen hotel. The day is free for you to explore the surroundings of the nearby village of Sawai Modhopur, famous for the handicrafts made by the local people. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 7
Ranthambore National Park
Early in the morning drive to the national park, where you can go on a jeep safari. The park is one of the best spots for spotting Indian tigers. The tigers of Ranthambore can be spotted in the dense forests or on the lake shores or in the shadows of ruined monuments. Besides tigers, thanks to Popular India Vacations you can also see deer, leopard, monkey, squirrel, meerkat, wild boar, crocodile and also many species of birds. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 8
Jaipur
After breakfast start sightseeing. In the pink city built by Maharaja Sawai Singh, you will admire the fairytale facade of the Hawa Mahal Palace, the City Hall, home to a museum and the Jantar Mantar Observatory.
In the evening you can stroll through the streets of the city and the municipal market where you can buy many handcrafted products such as: carpets, jewellery... Return to the hotel and overnight.
Day 9
Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After breakfast visit Amer Fort which is about 11 km from the city center. There you will enter the fortress on the back of an elephant. Inside the fortress are many palaces and royal buildings.
Then departure to Agra. En route stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the beautiful ghost town of Emperor Akbar. There are very many significant buildings: a great mosque - the "Jama Masiid", a magnificent palace - the "Panch Mahal" and the huge entrance gate resembling a triumphal arch - the "Buland Darwaza".
Arrive in Agra in the evening, check in and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10
Agra
Departure at dawn and visit of the Taj Mahal at 6 o'clock. Stunning views of the Taj Mahal lit by the morning sun. These morning hours are the best for your photos of this fairytale beautiful building. Arguably the finest example of Islamic architecture in India, the Taj Mahal was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal. It is the symbol of eternal love.
Then return to the hotel and breakfast. After breakfast visit of the city fortress. The Mughal Emperor Akbar built this majestic fortress, which was later remodeled by Emperors Jahngir and Shah Jahan. Inside the fortress there are huge palaces, private and public audience halls and gardens.
Day 11
Agra - Delhi - Departure
After breakfast departure to Delhi. Arrive Delhi, check in and rest at chosen hotel. sightseeing. In Old Delhi you will see the Red Fort, Jama Masiid and Qutab Minar Mosques. In New Delhi you will visit the House of Parliament, India Gate and the Baha'i Temple and then go shopping in the city's many markets.
After that, depart to Delhi airport for flight back home.
